David “Butch” Warren, a 50-year resident of Navarro County, is seeking election for the position of County Commission Pct. 3. “I expect to build a continuing relationship with all taxpayers within the Pct. 3 boundaries, and assure that all tax revenues are spent wisely,” he said. “I will be researching road material and find the most effective way to use them." “Those who know me, know that I am honest, hardworking and fair. I will pursue this position with compassion and competency. My vision is to use every available means to improve roads, bridges, interlocal agreements and to conduct county business with the utmost respect, he said.”“I want to lead Navarro County into a safe and clean environment, improving safety on the job for our employees, and insuring that the ditches are clean and will allow the water to flow when the rains do fall,” said Warren. “I want to return the scenic country roads to their original beauty, and protect our natural resources.” Warren, 57, graduated from Mildred High School and attended Navarro College. He has also served as mayor pro tem of Mildred and has enjoyed working with the members of the Mildred City Council, where he attended commissioners’ court meetings, and Planning & Zoning meetings for the past eight years. Warren has worked for Owens Corning for the last 13 years in plant maintenance. He worked as a construction contractor for 24 years, working for some of the largest companies in the world, then became an independent contractor running his own company. He is married to Jan, and he has a 19-year-old son Dylan. Jan is active in their 3,000-acre ranch located in Rice, where they are working with Texas Parks and Wildlife, on a management program. “I am grateful for all of your positive responses, as I seek my first term as your county commissioner in Precinct 3.
