Burnert Park was on fire Saturday evening.

On fire from the free gospel concert sponsored by Corsicana Parks and Recreation and The Single Believers Ministries that is.

Featured entertainers for the evening were Evangelist Shirley Lucas, New Life Band featuring Todd Jones and his amazing, powerful voice, and Tempo De Avivamento Incorporated, with Pastor Ramon Aceves, and his son Ramon, Jr., on keyboards and drums respectively.

The younger Aceves wowed the audience with his drum playing as he accompanied different musicians throughout the evening.

At one point musicians stepped back and quit playing just to watch him wail away during a couple of solo numbers.

Two dance groups, The Tambourine Praise Dancers, and CLAP, performed routines for concert attendees.

Also scheduled on the evening were Taylor Horne, the Tillman Family from Dallas, Erica Grant and the Grant Brothers, and COGIC District Steppers.

Evangelist Cathy Douglas wowed the audience as she and Jones combined their powerful voices in song.

Kenneth Albert, from Wortham, performed with his gospel group as well.

Talks are already on the way for another special engagement at the park since this one was such a success.
