This past Sunday, Ray Adams of Frost, Texas passed away in the company of his family. If you knew Mr. Adams, you would have never guessed he was sick.  He was a delightful man with a great since of honor and duty to his country, family and community.  He had owned Adams Grocery store in Frost for 15 years, he also was very involved at the school, where he had worked as the maintenance director and a school board member. Mr. Adams was also a proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders.  He loved the involvement and the motorcycles.  He was just an amazing person and a pleasure to know according to the people of Frost. He will be truly missed.   He was a big part of history in Frost.

One member of the PGR had this poem for Ray and his family:

Going home, going home,

I'm just going home.

Quiet-like, slip away-

I'll be going home.

It's not far, just close by;

Jesus is the Door;

Work all done, laid aside,

Fear and grief no more.

Friends are there, waiting now.

He is waiting, too.

See His smile! See His hand!

He will lead me through.

Morning star lights the way;

Restless dream all done;

Shadows gone, break of day,

Life has just begun.

Every tear wiped away,

Pain and sickness gone;

I'll be going home.

See the light! See the Sun!

I'm just going home.

Rest now Marine in God's loving arms, your home. We will miss you, Ray.
