December 30, 1939 – July 18, 2008 

Jimmy Don McCamey, born December 30, 1939 passed away peacefully at his home on July 18, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Berta McCamey, daughters and sons in law Dianne and Mike Hopson, Terrie and David Abbe, and Monnie and Jim Metcalfe. He was adored and admired by his grandchildren Cory Cody Abbe, Camey, Ashton, Jamie, Cole, Conner and Cameron Metcalfe and Andrew and Dillon Hopson. Great granchild Cayden Abbe. Brother and sister in law Bobby and Shelby McCamey.   Brothers -in -law and sisters- in- law Derwood and Wanda Penney, Bill and Glenda Fitch, Laverne Fitch. Longtime friends Wendell and Sheri Mayfield and Jim and Phyllis Galloway.
Jimmy was a devoted husband, proud father and a warm soul that has left memories for all who knew him.
Pallbearers will be Cody Abbe, Cory Abbe, David Abby, Mike Hopson, Wendell Mayfield, Jim Metcalfe and Derwood Penney. Visitation will be 6-8pm Saturday July 19, 2008 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services will be 2pm Sunday July 20, 2008 at Griffin-Roughton Chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Building Fund at Northside Baptist Church.
