April 1, 1971 – July 22, 2008 Mr. Donnie Evett, 37, of Corsicana passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on April 1, 1971 in Woodville, Texas. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Corsicana. He was a postal carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. He had been in this community for the past five years. Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Dr. David Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Smallwood, Josh Gober, Nick Rodriguez, Jeremy Prater, David Taylor, and Jim Stacy. Mr. Evett was preceded in death by his Twin Brother; Ronnie Gene Evett, Great Nephew; Landon Gene Evett, Grandparents; Wid & Iva Mae Evett and Josh & Mae “Maw” Phillips, and a Brother-in-Law; Curtis Hankins.
