James Eugene Sherrell, 53, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in Corsicana.  He was born on April 17, 1955 in Birmingham, Alabama to Lavern James and Tsianina Betty Day Sherrell.
He had lived in Corsicana for 18 years; member of the Dallas Optimist Club; operated Corsicana Automotive for 17 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents L.J. and Betty Sherrell.
He is survived by his wife Billie Sherrell of Corsicana; Daughter - Jamie Lesa Sherrell Hendricks and husband Jonathan of Rice; Brother - Robbie James Sherrell of Corsicana; 2 Sisters - Lesa Lynn Sherrell and Linda Ann Sherrell both of Waxahachie, Texas.  
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, August 8, 2008 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 A.M.
