Mary Frances Bryant, at the age of 86 went to be with her Lord on August 1, 2008.  Mary was born on April 24, 1922 in the Cade Community in Streetman, Texas.  The oldest child of five children and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Thompson (Jack and Belle).
She is survived by her brothers Eldon of Encinitas, California and Billy of Magnolia, Texas.  Frances leaves to cherish her memories many nieces, nephews, cousins and her many friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Belle, sister Lora Belle Thompson and brother John.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years Tommy J. Bryant.
Mary attended Cade School and Streetman High School where she graduated in 1941.  Mary was an active and devoted member of First Baptist Church wherever she lived.  A devoted christian who loved the Lord.  One of her joys was sharing her faith so that all might know messages and love of Christ her Lord and Savior.  She worked as a dental assistant for 27 years in Ft. Worth working for only two dentists.  As she semi-retired much of her time was spent with church work, quilting, sewing, floral arrangeing and other crafts.  Quilting was her first love and numerous hand made quilts were admired by many.
In her last years she fought health odds against Alzheimers, breast cancer and loss of eyesight.  She was admired and loved by all who cared for her and witnessed what a great lady she was.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 4 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana at 1530 North 45th Street.  Services will be at the funeral home Tuesday, August 5th at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Mahoney officiating and burial in the Birdston Cemetery.
