Mrs. Clara D. Spain of Mabank passed away August 16, 2008. She was born November 19, 1912 to William H. and Hattie Lee Dixon in Edinburg, Texas. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Thursday August 21, 2008 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM Thursday, with Mr. Lavelle Layfield officiating. Interment will follow at Dresden Cemetery.

Survivors are; son - Charles W. Spain and his wife Beth of DeSoto, grandchildren: Dr. Joni L. Caldwell of Barberville, KY, George Michael Caldwell of Irving, Larry A. Spain of Midlothian, and Steve Spain of Hollywood, CA. Great-Grandchildren: Michael Spain, and Sarah Spain. Preceded in death by her parents, husband: Hoyt A. Spain, and daughter Wanda J. Crawford.
